The ancient artifacts. Cromlechs

Everybody knows the famous structure of antiquity – Stonehenge, stone hedge. About it it is written in all textbooks of astronomy, as one of the oldest observatories. However, this is not the only facility of this kind, and one of many, some of which opened quite recently, in our Millennium. These structures are called cromlechs. That it is and will be discussed in this article.

The Cairn

The Cairn

Cairn is an ensemble of galleries and chambers, covered with top soil, that is, in this case the dolmens was as if their skeleton. The dolmens usually consist of “boxes” composed of stone slabs to be joined, sometimes, a long or a short gallery. They were a collective burial chambers, as evidenced by the remains of bones and votive treasures (ceramics, jewelry, axes of polished stone).
